Blu Skies has launched as a collaborative project of Paul Douglas Sanner and John Tyndall with Russ Rainwater jumping in as percussionist. With decades of music influence and skill between them and with their great musical chemistry blu skies lights up the stage with ballads and dance tunes from a variety of popular genres. Paul Douglas Sanner

Vocals and Electric Acoustic Guitar

Paul Douglas is an award winning vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter who has been making acoustic based music for a span of more than three decades with influences like James Taylor, the Beatles, John Denver, the Eagles, Michael Buble, Tom Petty and many others.

Paul is well known for his clean, clear & melodic vocals and creative/inspiring guitar instrumentation (flat picking and finger picking). He shines either solo with an acoustic guitar, or fronting a band covering vocals and guitar. Whatever Paul plays, he plays with passion and a unique twist that hooks the crowds and makes them come back for more!

He has an ever growing play list of cover songs that he makes his own. He continues to write his own music – based on his life experiences – to perform for his listeners. Paul Douglas is a professional musician with an easy going spirit who plays with passion and wins the hearts of his audience.

 

John Henry Tyndall

Keyboards, Vocals, Miscellaneous

John Henry has been playing the Atlanta area for many years. He started with a traveling rock band way back in the early 80’s. Now he plays a variety of music from rock classics to blues to show tunes to original compositions. John lives in Grayson, Georgia with his beautiful wife Lisa and two dogs, Pepper and Timmy.

“I play a variety of styles and present a unique singing and music listening performance.”

“My influences are varied and include Toad the Wet Sprocket, Leon Russell, Elton John, Split Enz, Procol Harum, Fats Waller, They Might Be Giants, The Who, The Beatles, Tom Petty, any Broadway musical. I love listening to big choral groups - barbershop quartets - loud rock music-soft rock music-blues, jazz and real old fashioned country.”

 

Russ Rainwater

Percussions and Vocals

Russ, an Atlanta native, is an incredibly talented percussionist, guitarist and vocalist. His winning personality shines on the stage along with his “beat on” rhythm. Years of experience has served Russ well allowing him to blend in just the right sound every time.
